NATIONAL SKILL QUALIFICATION FRAME WORK (NSQF)
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has framed a National Skill Qualification Frame Work (NSQF) which provides multiple pathways both within Vocational Education System and between General Education and Vocational Education System, which enable the learners to progress to a higher level in their respective profession. The NSQF is a boon to a highly skilled person to qualify and elevate to a higher level in the professional ladder. In short, NSQF gives credit and recognition to the highly skilled personnel and encourages them to contribute with a sense of human dignity and worth to the economic development of the country, in the context of ΓÇ£Make in IndiaΓÇ¥ and ΓÇ£Digital IndiaΓÇ¥ policies announced by the Central Govt. At present under this scheme, 6 Polytechnic Colleges offer 11 vocational courses in association with industries, approved by the AICTE in the name and style as ΓÇ£SKILL KNOWLEDGE PROVIDERSΓÇ¥ (SKPs).
